Usually that is done by saving them in the XCloner COnfig->Cron tab, Files exclusion input area.

OK.

How must be the path of these folders ?

For ex :

/public_html/vtiger/backup

or

/home/account/public_html/vtiger/backup

(not indicated in the documentation)

Hi

I'm back, because I can't make the cron task working on Cpanel.

As I find different answers on the web, which one is the good path, to put in the cron task of Cpanel :

1 :

/usr/bin/php/home/account/public_html/mysitefolder/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php

(as indicated in the Xcloner admin)

=> email received (I changed the names of account and site folder):

/usr/local/cpanel/bin/jailshell: /usr/bin/php/home3/account/public_html/sitefolder/administrator/components/com_xcloner-
backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php: N'est pas un dossier

or 2 (with a space between php and /home):

/usr/bin/php /home/account/public_html/mysitefolder/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php

or 3  :

/usr/bin/php -f /home/account/public_html/mysitefolder/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php

(as indicated in some tutorials)

or 4 :

/home/account/public_html/mysitefolder/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php mycustomconfig.php

(as indicated in an error message when I clik "execute cron" in the Xcloner admin)

or 5 :

curl http://website/path_.....r.cron.php

=> email received :

% Total    % Received % Xferd  Average Speed   Time    Time     Time  Current

Dload  Upload   Total   Spent    Left  Speed

  0     0    0     0    0     0      0      0 –:–:– –:–:– –:–:–     0

145   290    0   290    0     0   2990      0 –:–:– –:–:– –:–:–  6170

<h2>To run this script you need to create a custom config file inside XCloner Config, and call the script using php cli command like this:</h2>

<strong>php /home3/account/public_html/sitefolder/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php

mycustomconfig.php</strong>

or 6 :

wget -q http://website/path_.....r.cron.php

or 7:

lynx -sourcehttp://website/path_to_xcloner_folder/cloner.cron.php

The correct fron command should be

/usr/bin/php -f /home/account/public_html/mysitefolder/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php mycustomconfig.php

OK. This command works :

/usr/bin/php
/home/account/public_html/mysitefolder/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php mycustomconfig.php

I will add -f, to avoid error messages.

Last question (I hope) : When the cron jobs are working on another hoster than the whebsite to backup, what would be the best URL to use ?

(One of my hosters, 1and1, has no cron jobs interface)

This command doesn't work :

wget -q
http://www.mysite.co.....r.cron.php mycustomconfig.php

This option is not working anymore due to security issues, you can however alter your cloner.cron.php to enable it if you like.

The cron command afterwards would be

wget -q
http://www.mysite.co.....r.cron.php?config=mycustomconfig.php
