I made my backup and attempted to clone it. It moves the xcloer.php tar.php and backup tar.
I'm restoring into the new server at c:/wamp/www.
Install url is localhost/cloner.php.
I've selected the only backup available.
I filled in the sql information. The database name is the same. I'm not sure if that matters or not.
Finally I hit the install button. It goes through the process until it hits:
TAR Error: Error while opening c:/wamp/www/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/css/start/images/ui-bg_flat_55_999999_40x100.png in write binary code.
Files succesfully copied to c:/wamp/www/
Configuration updated!
The sql import goes smoothly.
When I got to http://loclahost the text on my homepage comes up, but that's about it. All the links point to localhost/xclone.php/actual link.
I'm really good I tested this before relying on it for a live move.
Edit:
A little more info. I can copy the directory manually and import the sql database manally and it works just fine.

I would advise in your case to simply extract the backup archive manually and restart the restore process with the "skip files restore" option checked. Anyway, i see you got it working 🙂

The whole point of xcloner is to automate most of this. I'd like to find out why it isn't working so I don't have to do it the way I did it.
