Hi Ovidiu,
when installing XCloner on Joomla 1.5.20 on a local installation with Easyphp 5.3.3,
I got a warning about this file not deleted and
XCloner is not working.
I deleted manually the file I found in \administrator\components\com_xcloner-backupandrestore\browser
but seems not to be the clue.
Any help?
Thanks

Hi Ovidiu,
thanks for the quick answer.
I had to uninstall and install again but I was not able to reproduce the message.
Now XCloner appears as a component in the back office as Joomla Components.
I downloaded the backup from the website and I am able to select it with XCloner View Backups.
I tried to clone on local but I am not clear about the settings.
As using Easyphp I did the following:
website url: http://127.0.0.1/mod.....003232335/
ftp hostname: localhost
ftp username: root
ftp password: (empty)
ftp directory: http://127.0.0.1/mod.....2335/clon/
and after "Continue" the system is hanged
what am i doing wrong?
Regards
Xavier
From what i see, the ftp path is incorrect, please recheck it with a ftp client, same goes for the ftp user and password.
Anyway, if you still have issues at this step, better copy the restore script and backup archive to the restore location, so you can skip this step. follow this tutorial /wiki/index.php/Restore_Backup#Restore_Backup_.E2.80.93_Manually
When restoring, i would also advise to use the "Install files directly" instead of ftp.
Regards, Ovidiu
The issue you have might be caused by the original server firewall(which could block outgoing ftp connection), in which case, the only alternative would be to follow my wiki advice and move the backup and restore script manually to the new host so you are able to continue the restore process.
