Newbie here, so pls forgive if question's reeeeeeaaaaaally basic...
have just loaded mamp v1.3.1 on my mac OSX 10.4.7
have made backup of live site.
have copied backup file down to my desktop
have moved backup file into mamp htdocs directory
have installed a blank joomla website, added cloner component
load test site, configured backup path /Applications/MAMP/htdocs
can view backup file
have gone to systeminfo, php tab and grabbed document_root: /Applications/MAMP
so in
webserver url, have keyed /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/website.com (where website.com is a directory under htdocs)
ftp hostname - have tried /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/website.com (no go), website.com (no go), http://ftp.localhost (no go), http://ftp.localhost:8888 (no go) - clearly I'm guessing.
i'm stuck.
help please 🙁

If you want to manually restore the backup, please read here before http://www.joomlaplu.....Itemid,56/
Now, the other details:
url: must me something with http://, like http://locallhost
ftp address: localhost
ftp path: login with a ftp client and check it out
Let me know if you got it working! Ovidiu
