Trying to work around GoDaddy tyeing my hands, I am trying to do a work around, and restore just the database from my XCloner backup, to a fresh GoDaddy control panel install of Joomla 1.5.7.
I selected:
"Skip files restore, will attempt to restore only database"
But I then get an error message saying that it can not proceed because it can not find "database-sql.sql in the /administrator/backups directory.
I manually place the database file there and I still get the same error. :S
This is not my week at all. Me hates cumputers this week! Grrrr

OK I tried a new tack. I edited the configuration.php in the new site to point at the Database that I was trying to import and I have had some success.
I think I can figure my way with the remaining issues such as moving photos over, and reinstalling the extensions.
I was really surprised to see all of extensions in the new install - parts must be in the database but the parts that are in the Joomla directory could not be there. All of my photos must also have absolute paths so I can not restore it under a different URL than the original easily.
