Hi there,
Since exec() function support is disabled, I want to use the UNIX cron script to make backups. However I am only successful starting backups via browser but not via the script.
PLESK cron jobs need the script like:
/var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_cloner/cloner.cron.php
This will result in some errors like this:
/var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_cloner/cloner.cron.php: line 1: ?php
: No such file or directory
/var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_cloner/cloner.cron.php: line 2: /**
: No such file or directory
...
...
...
This is probably because the config file is missing. But how can I do this?
Adding the file at the end won't solve the problem:
/var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_cloner/cloner.cron.php?config=joodlecron.php
The error message generated is:
/bin/sh: /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_cloner/cloner.cron.php?config=joodlecron.php: No such file or directory
So how can I use ordinary UNIX cron commands to make scheduled backups?
Thank you and regards
Rolf

Hi there! The correct shell command to use for cron would be
"php /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_cloner/cloner.cron.php joodlecron.php"
Notice that there are more details explained in your JoomlaCloner backend ->left menu Cron link
Let me know if you have further issues! Ovidiu
