I know this is a beginner question and I apologize for this, but I read your PDF and also watch your tutorial.

I have created my site on my local server, XP with XAMPP. I installed your components and configure it correctly. I have the Backup path: as C:/xampp/htdocs/mysite/administrator/backups
I have folders display as Dynamic selecting
Cron setting as: remote ftp account and I enter all my information.

I then go to View Backup -->backup name -->clone, enter all my information and I get

Moving source file C:/xampp/htdocs/mysite/administrator/components/com_cloner/restore/Joomla.Cloner.php - uploaded -0.00% from 48018 bytes
FTP upload has failed for file publuc_html//Joomla.Cloner.php ! Stopping ....

What did I do wrong?????

I also try to open up the backup file and when I do...it is empty.
\backup_2008-01-06_21-14_localhost-sql-nodrop --> show no information.....so I couldn't do the second process.

Its that several things happened when creating a backup and transfering it to my site.

Generating back:
When I set the file type to ZIP, it shows that it downloaded to local host and therefore I can view the file in "view backup" section. However, when I try to transfer it and run the script it doesn't work.
But when I save the backup file as TAR, it show all the necessary information, such as the original file, and now the new tar file, the date and etc

When I run this file, everything seem to transfer correctly, I am able to go to Joomla.Cloner.php without a problem

Transferring a File
With only using the TAR file, I was able tranfer it through my FTP and see it in my public_html. With this all the file permission were 644. Which does not work. I change it to 777, this neither works. Therefore, the only other option is 755.

When I change the permission to 755, I was able to access Joomla.cloner.php from http://www.mysite.co.....Cloner.php. Everytime the files loads I have to change the permission to 755, because they are defaulting to 644.

Now, the file is restored on my webhosting server, and my database is loaded to http://www.mysitename.com.

The problem is:
After everything successfully restore and database is loaded. I go to http://www.mysite.com and I still see my webhosting banner, instead of my lovely site.:( . I look at my public_html and see all the files has transferred.

So what is the next step?:S
