Got error when attempting to let backup and restore go automatically through Joomla component (just times out to white screen on restore) so I copied backup and joomla cloner restore files to new domain.

I'm now at http://nashvegashoop.....Cloner.php. All files including the backup are in the restore folder. I've been messing with this for quite awhile now and finally got to error: Could not continue, unable to read the clone backup file! Please make sure you copied the backup in the same directory as Joomla.Cloner.php

The file is there... yourhoopsite.tgz.

Our sites are all on a shared server. In install directory field, have tried the server path (/hsphere/local/home/imaginea/nashvegashoops.com/restore/) as well as http://nashvegashoops.com

Neither works.

What am I missing???

Side note: Have error on generate backup screen. Instead of tabs, page scrolls down for each tab's info. Tried unstalling and reinstalling multiple times...same issue each time.

The page tabs issue might be a Joomla core problem, are you using the latest version of Joomla?

As for the restore error, once you open the restore screen, there is a drop down box from where you need to select the backup to restore, you need to first select it from there then continue in order to avoid that error message

I'm new here and I'm trying to use JoomlaCloner for the first time but I have already had lots of failures.

My situation is:

I have a Joomla 1.5 legacy running with Easyphp on localhost
I want to move it to http://www.websitename.com
I have a fresh copy of Joomla 1.5 legacy running on http://www.websitename.com
The backup went fine, no problems there
When I import the database, I get an error saying lots os the tables already exist, and I have duplicated entries. I'm using the same database where the fresh Joomla copy is installed

After that I get a white page with "Could not connect to database."

What am I doing wrong?
Everyone says is so easy, I'm feeling so stupid.

Thanks.
