I am trying to move a Joomla site from the current server to a new server. I seem to be running into problems with the MySQL import. See the error message below:
Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'langvan4_joom2'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/langvan4/public_html/langebaaninfocoza/Joomla.Cloner.php on line 207

Warning: mysql_select_db() [function.mysql-select-db]: Access denied for user 'nobody'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in /home/langvan4/public_html/langebaaninfocoza/Joomla.Cloner.php on line 209

Warning: mysql_select_db() [function.mysql-select-db]: A link to the server could not be established in /home/langvan4/public_html/langebaaninfocoza/Joomla.Cloner.php on line 209
Could not connect to langvan_joom2 database! Aborting...
I created a new "blank" site by installing Joomla into the new account, now I am trying to clone the existing site over the default Joomla installation. I installed the default site using Fantastico, it created a DB langvan4_joom2 and username of the same name. I am not sure what the password on this default installation is but I deleted the default user and created a new user with the same name and a known password but this did not seem to solve the problem.

Can anyone help me?

Hi there! From the error you get the problem are clearly the mysql details!

As a hint, after creating the new user and pass for mysql did you assigned that user to the database in use? There in an option there to assign each user to a database! After that all should work!

Btw, you don't need to install Joomla prior to restore, and i suggest that you first clear that location, delete all files/diretories except restore script and clone and also empty the database you want to use!

Let me know if you still have problems!

Regards,Ovidiu
