Hello All 🙂
From what I have read, JoomlaCloner sounds like a very solid component. I am in the middle of upgrading my Joomla site to 1.5, and am looking at ways to make the switchover as smooth as possible. I am thinking of using JoomlaCloner, but I have a few questions.
1) Can I install JC into my live website (joomla 1.0.13), generate a backup and then restore on a local network?
2) Can I then install JC on a joomla 1.5 local network, generate a backup?
3)Can I upload that backup to the hoster and restore?
Cheers,
Nicholas.

Hi there! Ok, to follow with some answers :
1) yes, you can, after the backup is generated, simply move it along with the restore script we provide to any location you like including a localhost server and restore it
2) yes, JoomlaCloner 1.9.2 works with legacy ON with Joomla 1.5 versions, and the new XCloner 2.0 works in native mode
3) yes, simply follow the steps from point 1) , also detailed here
Hope it helps! Ovidiu
