Last month, I purchased the cloner, but I couldn't get past the config pages on the downloads area, much less get it installed correctly. I reattempted it today, and voila, it's worked.
I have a couple of questions though - I had to do some fiddling and thought it might help others if I asked these.
1 - I had to install the files and the db seperately...it didn't seem to work all at once. Is this common? I think.
2- the joomla/smf forum bridge did not carry over the config settings the way almost everything else did - I had to go in manually and change the path via the admin backend. Is that common?
I'm going to try it a couple of more times over the weekend. If it really is as easy as it seems, I'm going to be a very happy camper. thanks, programmer geniuses.

Hi there! Here are some answers:
1. usually this is how JoomlaCloner restored the backup, first the files and then the database, what exactly happent when you restored them?
2. yes, third party extensions need to be managed separatelly
