Was hoping someone can help me setup the ftp settings for using dreamhost. Ultimately, what do i use for the instal directory.
I have tried using different directory names to no avail.
All the settings i seem to be able to get correct except for the install directory.
I have been unsuccesfull getting the code to run from the component within the admin tab, ie getting this error
Warning: ftp_connect(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /home/.babushkadryer/ccfsup/c4wdcc.com/main/administrator/components/com_cloner/cloner.functions.php on line 156
And have tried doing it manually aswell, and only succes i get is when i enter two decimal points in the install directory box. ie it installs it to the next directory up
One problem though, is that this then installs the backup into the root directory of my webspace, and not into the correct directory, ie not the directory that holds the website.
Just hoping someone can point out the correct method format i should enter the directory for the instal directory, with a dreamhost account

I have now managed to get the component to send the archive to the new site,
but original problem still present
I keep getting this error
Directory c4wdcc.dreamhosters.com is not writeable or does not exists! Could not continue...
if i enter .. on the instal directory box, it will work, but will insert the files into the root of my webdomain, and not into the directory that is supposed to be the location for my website
Can anyone point out what format i should enter into the install directory for dreamhost

I have EXACTLY this problem with dreamhost. Could someone PLEASE make this explicity clear. I've read the above and tried to restore a backup and it just will not work. I've tried EVERY possible way of writing the install directory.
I have dreamhost too.
I want the joomla restored to a subdirectory called ice.
Hence as install directory I have NO CLUE what to write
/ice/?
//ice?
mysite.com/ice
I've tried a million different combinations here and I can't seem to get it right. I have no clue where the defaults came from.
Install URL
http://www.mysite.com/ice
