I have paid for ver 1.8.2 and entered the reg key. Nevertheless I keep getting in red across the top of the config page that my version is not registered to my domain. I have entered the domain details in and the config is writeable.

Please can you help,

After you update your 'Registered Websites' field with your domain names and saved the form(Profile area on our site), you need to go back and get the updated license key!
By default, the license we generate is only for localhost!

I would suggest you copy/paste again the License key from your Profile area into your 'Licence Code' field in JoomlaCloner Configuration!
