i have to clone some websites, cause they have the same content and structure, but different templates...

I have read the faqs, and i think i have to :

1. generate a backup
2. fill the server data in the original site
3. open the joomla.cloner file in the clone site
4. launch the restore.

is that right?

or i have to install mambo/joomla in the new server first?

Hi there! Yes, the steps are correct, and you don't need to install Joomla prior to restoring, JoomlaCloner will restore it from the generate clone!
