Access Permissions When Restoring Clone

Currently I'm just cloning my dev environment to my test environment. Every time I go to restore the clone, I get the "can't write" error and I have to Putty in and change the permissions to 777 for the entire test environment. That seems a little dangerous to me. Is there an acceptable access level I can set that's not wide open?

Unfortunately no, you will need to set the 777 permissions during the restore process, however as soon as the restore is finished you may change the directory permission back to the original one!
