Too bad there isn't a manual.
I am not able to ftp to the new site. However, I was able to ftp to a directory on the backedup server. Now, where do I transfer the directory content to on the new server? What needs to be on the new server? Does Joomla need to be installed first?
Lots more questions yet I suspect

On our FAQ here http://www.joomlaplu.....Itemid,56/ we have more details on how to manually restore a clone!

Basically you need to copy the clone to the restore place, and then the scripts inside the directory 'restore/' from the com_cloner archive(mus be in the same location as the clone), then launch Joomla.Cloner.php in your browser and follow the restore process!

Question: why aren't you able to ftp to the new location ? what is the error you got?
