I thought I might do a trial restore using my backups
before I go for the real thing. Apart from giving me
confidence in the system it would test the validity
of my backups without risking my website.
I have a WAMP I could install on my local computer,
but I am not sure where to go from there. Any suggestions? If a WAMP is not the way to go has
anyone any other suggestions as to how I can trial
my backups? TIA. Lloyd.

Hi there! JoomlaCloner trial gives you the possibility to backup and restore a backup on the same host!
So, you need to first generate a trial for your local computer ip, access the backend from that ip address, install JoomlaCloner then create a backup! For the restore test, simply create a subdirectory, and follow our Restore Documentation guidelines we have posted on our site or in the JoomlaCloner component, restore section!
