I'm running Apache 2 (xampp) on Windows, but my host is modwest, linux.

I'm tring to get TAR working but have no idea what's happening. I downloaded GnuTar32 and placed the path in the component, but it always tells me

Backup failed! Please check that you have support for the tar utility(/usr/bin/tar or /usr/local/bin/tar) on your server and the path you set it's corect in Configuration, or choose the Zip archive type!

Any ideas? My Tar path is c:/xampp/htdocs/tar.exe but I've no idea if it should have switches etc., me being a dumb Windows user 😉

Hi there! Try to install the zip utility and see how it goes, and if you still have no luck, uncheck the Activate check box near the zip utilites and try after!
