Hello,
I have bought the JoomlaCloner component. I have successfully backed up my site.
A. For restoring,i am not clear what to put for the following items
1. Mysql Server: ?
2. Mysql_username: ? (Does this have to be the same as that of the backed up Mysql_username, or can it be different?)
3. Mysql_password: ? (Same question as above )
4. Mysql database: ? ( Same as above )
When using DIRECT TRANSFER method, what should we ensure for the permission of the files as per the caution note?
B. As there is no documentation, can u explain in a paragraph or more, what Joomlacloner is doing? This will help in understanding what is going on and ensure i dont do some thing wrong.
Many thanks..

Hi there! OK, here is the info you need:
A. you need to create a mysql user, pass and database o the new restore lcoation, so that JoomlaCloner can import the database into the new location, they are usually different than the original ones
B. on the restore area, JoomlaCloner will copy all the files from the archive inside your restore location, import the database located in administrator/backups/database-sql.sql and restore also the permissions found in administrator/backups/perm.txt!
The difference between ftp mode and direct mode is this:
- on ftp mode a ftp session is simulated for copying the files, it would be like you would upload the files but much faster, sience the connection is localy
- on direct mode the files are copied directly on the server, the owner and group of the files being the php process, on some servers it will result on some permissions problem cause you won't be able to update those files through ftp, only with JoomlaXplorer or any other web based file manager!
Hope it answer your questions! Regards, Ovidiu
