Hello,
I am currently trying the demo version. I have managed to make a backup. Had a few bugs but the forums here had the answers I needed to get it done.
I am now about ready to buy the full version, but I need to have something confirmed first.
I currently have Joomla installed in a subdirectory of root (/magazine). This is causing issues with SEF and other things and I have to move the joomla installation to root on the same host. (just move it up one directory to the root). I want to know if this is easily done with JoomlaCloner. If so, I will be a very happy man! Is it as simple as making a backup and restoring it to root?
For the record, I have SMF on my site and using the bridge from Joomlahacks. Everything is up to date versions.
Please advise.
Thanks.

Hi there! Yes, you should have no problems in moving and restoring the site to the root directory!
Please check here our restore FAQ http://www.joomlaplu...../catid,26/ and see what you need to do to restore a backup with JoomlaCloner!
About the SMF bridge, after restoring, you need to login to the backend and update the SMF configuration paths, after that all should be ok!
