cloner does not display directory structure

I have a unique situation.

I cannot back up my main website which is located in the root of the server (windows IIS). When I go to create a backup, it sits and tells me it is getting the directory structure.... and just sits there. I cannot make any selection of a folder/directory to not back up.

However....

I have a second web site that is located in a folder off the root directory. I installed cloner on it as well, and it works fine for that web site.

I have tried doing it manually, by entering folders/directories in the text box rather than using the gui to display folders. I then get a code 1 error, and no backup.

Is there a possible naming convention for directories that causes problems, or something else? Possibly cloner does not like backing up cgi-bin??? Or is there some components/mambots/js or something that cause problems???

Help needed here.

Hi there! This could be related to a permission issue on your Joomla root folder, try and apply 755 permissions on your root folder then try again!

Let me know if you have anymore issues! Regards, Ovidiu

Yes, I have re-installed it three or four times. Will do a support ticket.

I "moved" the site to a folder off the root directory, and it now backs up fine. Thanks for the quick response, much appreciated.
