I just read the announcement on Joomla Ghost. It's very close in functionality to JoomlaCloner. One thing I did like about it compared to JC is the file selector!
This is way better for being able to target specific mambots for targeted backup/restore. This is my only issue with JC. The current method makes it very tedious to drill down into the file/dir structure to select only the mambots directory.
The tree approach is great. Maybe a small upgrade to JC sometime soon to include this?

Not sure how the system is different, in JoomlaCloner to backup only the mambots directory all you need to do is exclude all items from the root folder except the mambot/ directory, i think the system is pretty much the same on the other component, except for the tree view of course!
