Hi,
I have just installed xcloner on joomla 1.57 and the installation said it was successful. When I go to components xcloner it says internal server error and I cannot access the component.

Try and apply 755 permissions upon these directories and see if you have anymore issues:
1. administrator/component
2. administrator/components/com_xcloner and all the files inside it

The permissions were wrong. I changed them but still the same problem.

I have had the EXACT same problem...permissions were not wrong...I cannot access Xclone. Glad I didn't pay the $64US for it yet...(trial version). And yes I have ion cube on my server, supposedly (I have another product on the server in another domain that uses/requires ion cube)
I get 404 message

When I had this problem it was a permissions issue. I had changed the permissions all to 755 but some of them didn't take. I paid for this component and when I was still having issues I opened a support ticket and everything was fixed within a couple of hours.
