Bought the Cloner yesterday, backs up OK but the ftp part simply does not work.
I select the backup and hit clone and I get this message:
"FTP connection has failed!Attempted to connect to mysite.co.uk for user xxxxxxxx"
Even if I put the http://
I know that I can ftp to the site because I'm doing that every day and I know the password etc; are OK.
Can someone advise what the cause of this is. There's no problem on the server.

Paul

Hey there! This looks like a ftp login problems, the user or pass might be incorrect! As a hint, try to look if you have input any blank spaces in the details you use?
If you can't get it going, i would suggest you manually move the clone to the other server, among with the restore script then follow the restore process!

Hi,
OK, I've checked that I'm using the correct password and user etc; but still I get the same message.
So I guess I'll have to try it manually.
1, Using my ftp program, where should I put the backup file on the server I am clonong to?
2, You mention also transfering the script file. What script file and where should it go. After that, then what?
I'm doing a complete clone of one website to another!
Thanks for your help. But I do think there must be something wrong with JoomlaCloner for it not to work!

paul
