Ok, I downloaded the trial installed the files and configured the software and ran a backup. The first thing I noticed was how fast this product is, it was it was finished before I knew it.
Since I am only interested in getting good backups at this point I am only using a fraction of the features available. This is probably why I had no configuration or function problems. But still it seems a little too easy. I opened the backup file with pkzip and I have a hundreds of files --- it seems to have worked.
Is there a "verify" function to make sure I have a good backup?
What a product!
Thanks,

Hi there! The best way to verify the backup is to simply make a restore by using JoomlaCloner, however that automated feature is only available in the full version!
If you like you could make a manual restore of the backup, by extracting the files on your computer(use WAMP server or some other server toolkit to run a server with mysql, apache and php on your computer), importing the database(located in administrator/backups/database-sql.sql file inside the backup) and then update the Joomla configuration settings!
However you could also do this on your original site:
- set "Manual Backup" option to Yes in your JoomlaCloner Configuration
- when you will try and generate a backup you will notice how each file will get processed separatelly in an incremental mode so you can be sure all files are included unless you excluded some from the Generate Backup screen!
Let me know if you have further questions! Regards, Ovidiu
