Hi there,

I've been using your product for a while now and it has been so helpful. I'm using it on a site that just moved to a new server and the site is quite large due to the videos it has on it. I haven't done a full backup since the transition and when i tried it gave me this fatal error:

[code:1]Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 34865152) (tried to allocate 9853401 bytes) in /home/limacr5/public_html/administrator/includes/pcl/pclzip.lib.php on line 2394[/code:1]

I tried to do it manually, and it worked for the .tar file, but it gave me a 500 server error when i tried to download it. When I did manual for .zip I got the same error.

The memory limit is at 120 right now. Are there other settings I can change to get the backup to work?

Thanks.

Hi there! I suggest you change the backup type to TAR or increase the memory_limit to a larger value than the current one!

Hope it helps! Ovidiu

I increased my memory limit and that seemed to help. I can now do manual backups, but when I take it off of manual and set it to create a TAR, I get the following code:

[code:1]MySQL server has gone away SQL=SELECT id, title, module, position, content, showtitle, params FROM jos_modules AS m WHERE m.published = 1 AND m.position = 'header' AND m.client_id = 1 ORDER BY m.ordering
SQL =

SELECT id, title, module, position, content, showtitle, params
FROM jos_modules AS m
WHERE m.published = 1
AND m.position = 'header'
AND m.client_id = 1
ORDER BY m.ordering
[/code:1]

What does this mean?

Also, when I view the TAR files in the "View Backups" area, when I hit the download link I get a 500 error from my server.

Thanks for the help

Ok, so it sounds like manual is the way to go then.

Does this mean that using Cron is out of the question for an automated sort of backup? The manual backup requires you to run it through the browser correct? I'm planning on having several Joomla sites in the future and having an automated system would work great.

Thanks.

Steve
