Hi there,

I've read the instructions about cloning/moving site, but I just want to clarify before I attempt.

I am not needing to move the site to a different server. I only need to move from the root directory to a subdirectory.

Is the process the same as moving to a different directory?

Thank you, Kelli

Hi there! Yes, the process is the same, and it goes like this:

1. you create the subdirectory and a new database to be used for restore
2. you move the restore script we provide and the backup archive you like to restore in your restore directory
3. you launch the Joomla.Cloner.php restore screen and follow the onscreen configuration details then click submit and follow the rest of the restore process

Let me know if you got further questions! Ovidiu
