I am having a heck of a time cloning a test site on Godaddy.com.
The clone seems to run inconsistently (it seems to hang ) once I got it to apparently run to completion. The screen said that 100% was FTP'ed and the delete the Joomla.cloner.php file.
BUT the site was not there just the original one that I started with.
The specifics of my config are too long to post here but they ran once at least!
Any caveats about godaddy?
I need to get this running its holding up a whole project! 🙂
Any help/suggestions etc. MUCH appreciated.
Joe

If you are having problems generating a backup then simply try these settings in JoomlaCloner backend:
1. uncheck both "Active" checkboxes
2. set "Manual Backup" to Yes
3. set "Backup type" to TAR
Second, on restore try to use these options checked:
1. "Restore by using the server utilities unzip/tar"
2. "Install files directly"
And as specified in the docs, you need on restore to have a clean location, an empty database and an empty directory always help!
Let me know if you have further problems! Ovidiu
