Hi,
For many reasons - this being another - I am moving my site from http://www.one.com as webhost.
Among other things, their safe mode is on, so the structure of the site is nothing like the one you have in your setup.
I could get around all these things, if I could only install the zip or tar function. Unfortunately http://www.one.com, doesn't support neither.
Is there any way around this for me???
They are using Linux with apache.
I'm pretty much a newbie on this, so please contact me if you need more information or the possibility to log on to my site.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi there! Unfortunatelly if safe_mode is On, you won't be able to use the zip/tar server utilities and also mysqldump because exec() or shell_exec() functions will be disabled! However you could try to uncheck both Active checkboxes from Configuration and also try to set the 'Manual Backup' option to Yes, then try to generate the backup!
Also another suggestion is to keep the backup type to tar, it will help you pass the memory_limit problem!
