Hello
Thank you for your help a few days ago regarding backup generation. However--
We purchased the component in order to clone a site in a different location for the purposes of tests -- a 'sandbox site' as it were for implementing ideas.
However now that we've cloned the site (using TAR) to the new location many of the links still point to the old site, and much information -- such as the Global Configuration info -- still points to the original site.
Is this normal functioning, and if so, is there a good technique to auto-update all the links so that they point to their new location?
Yours,
JP

Hi there! The JoomlaCloner restore process implies that you use the restore script we provide as specified in our Restore FAQ here http://www.joomlaplu...../catid,26/
Not sure how you did the cloning, however all you need to do is this:
1. copy the backup archive on the new host
2. copy the restore script we provide in the same location
3. open the Joomla.Cloner.php restore script in your browser and enter the restore details, mysql and ftp if selected!
Let me know if you have anymore issues! Ovidiu
