I trying to restore a backup to the localhost and I'm not sure the correct method. I like the ftp method but I was wonder if there was a way to load a backup directly from the computer that joomla is installed on.

Thanks for your help.

Hi there! To restore the backup on the local computer you need to copy the backup and restore script into your new location as specified in our Restore FAQ here http://www.joomlaplu...../catid,26/ then when you launch the Joomla.Cloner.php restore screen in your browser, choose the "Install files directly" option instead of ftp mode to restore the files!

Let me know if you need any additional info! Ovidiu
