when I try to do it manually on the server this is what I get:

Starting /opt/www/html/norwoodma/administrator/components/com_cloner/cloner.cron.php

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I suggest you use the XCloner 2.0 software if you are trying to backup a Joomla 1.5 site
