Hi,
I'm trying to move a site from one server to another and also to a differently named website.
The backup files have been successfully moved to the new server and are in the public_html directory. The problem I'm having is what to put in the FTP section of the JoomlaCloner Automatic Restore! screen. I can't really see why ftp is necessary since the files are already on the new machine. I've tried various combinations, such as the ip for 'Ftp Server'.
Ftp server: localhost
port: 21
Ftp user: myuser
Ftp pass: mypassword
Ftp path: public_html
Each time I get:
JoomlaCloner Automatic Restore!
Could not connect to localhost on port 21! Ftp connection has failed!
I can connect to the site using CuteFTP.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Chris

Hi there! We added the ftp mode on the restore script so the user and group of the restore files don't change, however you can easily skip that by selecting the "Install files directly" option instead of ftp on the Joomla.Cloner.php screen
As for the error message you are getting, have you tried replacing the ftp server name with with your ftp server ip address instead of localhost?
