I purchased and downloaded JoomlaCloner today with the intention of using it to restore my sites locally to test new components/extensions/templates etc. I'm running XP SP2 with WAMP 5 (version 1.7.3).
I can backup my live site fine but am having trouble restoring locally. All the files seem to restore fine but when the database starts to restore I get the following message:
'Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.'
This is the corresponding entry from the Apache log:
[Mon Nov 19 21:53:54 2007] [alert] [client 127.0.0.1] C:/wamp/www/eseweb/.htaccess: Invalid command 'RewriteEngine', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration
It's probably something silly I've done but can you help?

Hi there! The issue you are having is caused by the .htaccess file, your local server does not support RewriteEngine module, so to fix the error simply delete the .htaccess then refresh the page with the error!
You could also try to enable the RewriteEngine module for your Apache server, however you will need to consult the wamp documentation for that!
