As suggested by Joomla security and my host(s), I have begun moving my config file outside the public_html directory and addressed it with a 'require' statement.

Question: What will now happen to my JoomlaCloner backup upon re-installation either in the same location or on a different server?

Is there a work-around in order to get it to work?

Hi there! For the moment, JoomlaCloner only replaces the config details if the configuration.php file is located in the default place, if that changes, you will need to manually adjust those details after the restore completes; other than that the restore process should work as normal
