Hello,
I am using you cloning component mainly for securing my joomla files and database, not for transferring joomlasites.
In the case that I get problems with my site my first strategy would be to reset the Site to the last backup BUT of course without erasing the whole site first.
In this case of resetting the files and database I do not need any FTP Host, as the backup lies within the Site itself.
What I want is to restore to the same location where the backup comes from:
So how do I reset my Joomla "on the run"?

Hi there! Restoring a backup implies by default that you use the ftp transfer mode so you can restore the files properly!
So, in the case when you need to 'reset' Joomla you need to:
1. copy the restore script and the backup in your Joomla root folder
2. create an empty database different from the existing one, and use that database for restoring
3. start the restore using the ftp transfer mode, or if possible only the "Install files directly"
Please also check our restore FAQ here http://www.joomlaplu...../catid,26/
Let me know if you have further questions! Ovidiu
