I just purchased and installed JoomlaCloner 1.6 for a client running Joomla 1.10. I was able to complete a backup, but not download it to my computer by clicking on the floppy disc icon. I get a page not found error when it tries to access this page:
http://www.site.com/.....l-drop.zip
The file was there, and I was able to upload it using FTP.

I presume it has to do with the memory_limit! OK, here is what you have to do:
- if you backup path is within your joomla path you can go in the Configuration area->System panel and choose "Enable Direct Download link:" to Yes, that will enable the file to be directly downloaded without the use of php and it's memory!
- else, if the path is outside the joomla path, you might need to increase the memory_limit of php from php.ini
