I need to clone a site and move it to my server. The site was not created by me and so I do not know the mysql db password ( I do have the joomla admin password)
I have cloned the site but don't know how to 'move' it to my new server without the mysql db password.

Can this be done?

Also, if one of my sites crash, I have back ups (using joomlaCloner) but my sites were installed with Fantastico which creates its own password I think? How do I retreive that fantastico generated password in case I need to recover my backed up site?

Hi there! Please check our Restore FAQ here http://www.joomlaplu...../catid,26/ on how to restore a backup! If you installed the site using fantastico, you can get the mysql details from the Joomla configuration.php file, the variables to look for are:

mosConfig_db = mysql database name
mosConfig_host = mysql host
mosConfig_user = mysql user
mosConfig_pass = mysql password
