Hi,
I run XCLONER standalone on IIS 7.0, PHP 5. MySQL 4
When I launch a back-up of my site (local), I get the normal messags:
Initializing backup...
Backup D:/star-up/xcloner/administrator/backups/star-up.tgz created, we may continue!
Database backup...
[starup] 63tables (3.66 MB)
Filesystem backup...
Scanning files system... done! (Estimated size:265.39MB) in 6643 files
Excluded oversized files:
Processing Files: 0% ( files)
Backup Name:
Backup Size: MB
Backup completed!
Backup name:
Backup size: MB
Number of files:
Backup Parts:
After this, things go bad... Any idea what this could be? Wincache is disabled and the IIS user has full control rights to all folders and files.
There was an error retrieving the JSON data from the server, try again or contact the developers!

Hi, setting backup refresh mode to normal did the trick. Would it make sense to include this in the error message? I saw (unfortunately only after I had posted this), that other users have come across this error.
Would be nice to have a custom error message saying: "It might help to set the backup refresh mode to normal".
Just a thought 😉
Thanks for all your replies and help!
Best regards!
Titus
PS: I still can't get the cron job php files to execute properly on a local server but I'll continue trying before I post this.
