Hello!

I'm using WordPress 3.0.1 with XCloner Manager plugin 2.1.

I have set Backup Store Path: /home/<USER_PATH>/public_html/backups/

When i try to backup my site XClone tool show me message:

Required sql backup directory /home/<USER_PATH>/public_html//administrator/backups is not writeable or does not exists!

Path /home/<USER_PATH>/public_html/backups/ exists with 777 privileges.

Thanks a lot for your support!

Hi there! As per our installation instructions, when creating a backup, XCloner needs one special folder to be created under your Backup Start Path, and that is administrator/backups

Once you created that folder and made it writeable, it should work.

Hope it helps! Ovidiu

Ovidiu! Thank's! It start working!

But after that i've got a little question: why don't you create this folder during installation and select it by default (for excluding from backup) during backup creation?

Or maybe it more interesting to create something like "tmp" folder when backup is creating? I thing, that enduser must not know anything about internal backup processes in XCloner.

Or if it not possible - maybe plugin must show user warning in configuration when user input defaul path.

Ovidiu! Thanks for help!

This folder is used to store the database backup so when restoring, the script knows the direct location from where to restore it

You are right about the users warning, we will work on making that more clear.
