Prior to version 3.1.3 of XCloner plugin ( WordPress ) all my backups were nicely compressed ( .tgz ). In 3.1.3 .tgz is almost doubled in size and uncompressed .tar is smaller ( ??? ) than .tgz but bigger ( undestandable ) than .tgz from previous versions. These results are consistent for 13 websites hosted on my VPS and 1 website hosted by DreamHost. The common elements of both hosts are WordPress 4.2.3 and XCloner 3.1.3. Any clues?
