Backup created but not emailed

Three of the sites I use XCloner on have stopped sending me backups. They were all working fine until a couple weeks ago. I have XCloner set up to run off a cron job and then have the compressed backups emailed to me. XCloner is still creating the backups but they aren't geting emailed. Any suggestions?

Most email providers have a limit on the size of email attachments they accept, so if the size increased, so you might want to switch the backup mode to send them to a third party ftp server or amazon instead, and leave the email option for database only backups.

Hope it helps...

You're right about the size limit. I switched my backups from email to amazon S3 and now all, except one, site is working.

When I receive the cron log for the site that isn't backing up, the last thing on the cron log is "Generating Backup ..." Any suggestions?

Thank you for your help!

That looks like a timeout issues, try and switch the cronjob link to the php executable, like

php /home/.../path_to_cloner.cron.php

and see if it helps! Ovidiu

Hmmm, I'm already using a php executable cron job. I just increased the execution time out.. we'll see if that works.

Thanks again!

No luck. I increased the execution time, but it's still not backing up. Any more ideas?

Could you copy/paste here the cron command you are using? Ovidiu

I've been using this command for some time successfully, but in the last month it has stopped working:

php /home/ab1134/public_html/wp-content/plugins/xcloner-backup-and-restore/cloner.cron.php

Try activating the tar server utility in XCloner Config and/or set the Backup Compress option to No and see if it helps!

Ha! Looks like activating tar was the trick. Thank you very much for your help.
