Broken archive after backup

Hello.
I've got an issue with archive after I made a backup copy. Error is:
tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Skipping to next header
tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors
I used a Manual backup in Normal mode, as JSON didn't work for me. No errors during backup process.
Also, cant enable "logs" after saving configuration it shows as No in the options instead of Yes.

That error usually indicates an incomplete backup, does the backup size match the original one? Try reuploading the backup, but use a ftp client to download it and see if it helps!
Not sure about the logs issue, make sure however the logs path is correct in the Joomla Global Config.
