If I make a backup of a site and then restore it to a new domain/directory, will the WordPress tables get updated to point to this new location?

Hi there! Yes, this is the main idea behind XCloner, to be able to clone your site on any other location including another domain address. And yes, all database data from the old hosts, as well as files included in the backup will get restored on the new location
