Hello Ovidiu, I am new here, but not on the planet.
I tried to move my site. Made a mistake. Now I try to restore just the files locally. My Mac can unarchive TAR, but wasnt able to do it. Now I try with XAMPP and XCloner.php to restore the files and get the following error:
"XCloner Automatic Restore! – localhost
TAR error: Unable to open in read mode 'backup_2011-12-19_gotarda.com-sql-nodrop.tar'
Warning: fseek() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/backup/XCloner.php on line 268
Files succesfully copied to /Applications/XAMPP/htdocs/backup/
Configuration updated!"
But it had not done anything.
Thank You
Reinhard

Finder shows my backup with 520 MB, while on the server its 499.8 MB.
I found only a Windows version of 7-Zip.
Stuffit started to expand the backup, but broke up after 30MB or so. Maybe the file is broken.
If I only would be able to copy the file from my old hoster to the new one. All the solutions I found appear to be for Windows PCs.
Is it not possible to do the Clone Backup and move like the Restore with a script from XCloner?
Thank you!

Thanks, I managed to Clone the backup to the new server. When I tried to restore I got:
Directory /home/users/web/b399/ipg.gotardacom is not writeable or does not exists! Could not continue.
The file was in the root directory and it was writeable.
Anyway, I moved them to a subdirectory and the restore started, but at the end it says Database import skipped!
What should I do, try it again?
Thank you!
