Hi Micha, try enabling php errors on your new site so they display in the browser and see if you can spot any specific error message. If it's not possible, contact your hosting provider to give you the error details, might be also a memory limitation, so try increasing that also(php memory_limit).
Are you able to access the site backend or any other areas?
Ovidiu
K, try this further:
1. upgrade wordpress
2. open a terminal console to your site and try to run the index.php file from there, if you are not allowed, try asking your hosting provider to do that and reporting any errors back
3. try disabling all plugins by renaming each folder in the wp-content/plugins folder and see if maybe an plugins is causing issues with the site, if it works, enable them one by one till you find the one with the issue
Hope it helps, Ovidiu
