Hi

I've cloned my site http://www.productormusical.es from a 1and1 acount to another 1and1 acount, everything went fine and actually everything seems fine in the new server. But when I go to mysql admin panel it says that my database is 142.36MB, in my old server (both are 1and1 as I said) it is 91.67MB.

How can this be possible?

Is there anything I'm missing?

Any help would be apreciated.

Since it's larger, i don't think anything is missing, the difference could be however caused by different mysql server versions/storage engines. I don't think that this is an issue, but you can compare each of the databases by checking how many records you have in each table.

I have the same records in both database, I will call 1and1 and ask about the storage engine, the mysql server version is the same.

If I download the database from the new server, the size is the same (120mb) to the one I download from de old server.

Is just a little bit confusing so much diference of size isn't it??

Thanks for your help

EDIT: Today I just woke up and went to se my Mysql admin panel and suprise! my new server database size is now 94.44MB!

Seems like the have kind of a compression system or something that takes a while to be completed.
