Hi,

I am having a problem with the backups where a tar file is being generated with size 1536 bytes containing only the index.html file within it. While the backup is being generated, one finds more files in the administrator/backups folder, only to be removed when the tar file is created. Moreover, at no time did the files of the website ever backed up (at least I did not find any refences to them other than in the perm.txt and in the xcloner.log

Try switching the "Backup Mode" to Normal in your XCloner Config->System tab and see if it helps.
