Just installed xcloner for WordPress. I have a large set of files in my WordPress installation as I run a music store. Maybe that's whats causing the issue.

I keep getting the "There was an error retrieving the JSON data from the server" error when trying to run a backup.

Some of my settings:

Files to process per request: 20

Database records per request: 1000

Exclude files larger than: -1

Split Backup Archive if size larger than: 2048MB

Time between requests: 1ms

No compression.

Any thoughts on solving this? Here's a copy & paste of the screen details:

Database backup...

[db463673531] 19 tables (2.65 MB)

Filesystem backup...

Scanning files system... done! (Estimated size:7757.46MB) in 5676 files
Processing Files: 59% (3400 files)

Backup Name: backup_2013-09-18_16-05_thetracksmiths.com-sql-nodrop.10.tar

Yes, that is probably the issue, have you tried clicking the Rery link below that message? Otherwise, try and decrease the Files to process per request option to a lower value like 5 and see how it goes.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I didn't know you could manually type in a number for the Files to process per request field! I set it to 5 and I'm running the backup as I type. Last time it wouldn't make it past 3400 files (out of a reported 5677). As we speak, it's up to 3425 and slowly climbing. Excellent!

Question... I have some large ZIP files in my WP uploads directory, around 3-400MB each. This is the bulk of the backup, as most everything else is just text files and a few images. Once the backup got to around 3400 files, it slowed down considerably (up to 3445 right now!). Do you think it reached the folder with all those large ZIP files? I'm assumming that's what the initial problem was and that's what it's up to at the moment.
