I am attempting to back/ clone a wordpress site. The destination is linux (running Apache) and the source is on windows (IIS 7).
To start with, i was unable to ftp the backup files to linux - so i did a manual ftp. I backed up both the relevant database and the wordpress site.
In the new linux server, i wanted to create the clone at http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/clone. So i gave clone 777 permission, and copied the backup, TAR.php and XCloner.php to the /var/www/ folder. The clone folder was empty.
The following inputs on XCloner fields
Install Directory: /var/www/clone/
Install URL : http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/clone
Backup archive to restore: This is the default backup filename that is correctly picked by XCloner.
MySQLServer: localhost
MySQLUserName/Password are entered
MySQL Database: i initially entered a database name that did not exist (thinking that XCloner might create a database) and then also tried by creating an empty database.
However, when i click "Start Install" , nothing happens - the page refreshes to display the text below. Nothing else below it.
XCloner Automatic Restore! - xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
What can i be doing wrong??
